Its extensive support for current and discontinued digital video formats ensures that video files can be viewed immediately. The player and codec management engine ensures all players are fully compatible with the computers operating system, reducing the risk of system crashes and codec conflicts which are common problems when installing 3rd party video codecs and players.
DCR PRO can convert proprietary digital video to standard format AVI or MPEG allowing easy DVD production. Optional analog output and direct capture into VideoBOX PRO allow enhancement and other advanced functions.
The software exclusively features the ability to extract the Time & Date information from many digital video files and overlay directly onto the image in real-time or on still images.
DCR PRO also directly supports duPLIX, our latest DVR HDD data recovery product with advanced functions such as batch mode conversion of all video files to standard media formats.

DCR PRO supports the vast majority of current and discontinued DVR and digital video formats; at present over 500 DVR and media formats are supported with additional players being continually added.
Codec Management
DCR Pro removes the risks that are often present when downloading and installing codecs and players from 3rd party sources, for example the risk of spyware, adware, etc. Once installed 3rd party players can often corrupt the systems operating system or systems codec support.
Auto Format Detection and Load
DCR Pro automatically scans introduced media and presents all available file types to the user for selection. Single files are automatically found and launched for replay.
Video Conversion
Record digital video to an analog tape and enhance it using VideoBOX Lite or VideoBOX Professional.
Time & Date Overlay
Extract the original Time & Date information where available from digital CCTV video files, and overlay it onto printable images or into DVD movies.
Instant Results
DCR PRO is designed to be to provide reliable access to many formats which allows users to view and produce professional results. DCR PRO can be used as a technical or forensic tool and is also available for use at divisional support or within custody units.
The systems audit trail can therefore be used to provide statistics on system usage or efficiency. If audit trails are provided to Vision Base, our development and support personnel currently use the audit trails to determine the commonly occurring formats that are not supported. Using this information we can prioritise the additional support for formats tailored to your system or local region.
Audit trails for DCR and ViewSTATION users (versions below) have now been significantly improved following feedback from users. The audit trail or required parts are now available to be included as part of the evidence if required. Please email our support dept. if you have suggestions or improvement for either the use of the audit trail or other product improvement suggestions.
